A Dark Nordic World

Concept art showing a snow covered village in Midgard, setting the ambience and feel of the world.

The great hall overlooks the village, where wooden palisades have been erected to keep out the evil things that lurk outside the fortifications.

The game, although having a distinct fantasy style, aims to also distinguish itself by featuring typical nordic scenery mixed with norse mythology and folklore.

Trolls, Frost Giants, Helhounds and more

Concept art showing some of the many types of monsters the player will come across in the game.  The creatures are inspired by the rich tapestry of nordic folklore and myth, which people in the old days believed to be just as real as anything.

Oh, and there will ofcourse also be dragons, ghouls, draugr, the undead, warlocks, ice spiders, and plenty more.

The Nine Worlds

The Nine Worlds

In the age of the vikings, man believed there were more worlds than our own, which they referred to as Midgard. Asgard was the domain of the Aesir gods, where Odin the Allfather sat on his throne in Valhalla, watching over the nine worlds. Vanaheim is the home of the wise and magical Vanir, and in Alfheim live the magical Light-Elves.

The icy mountains of Jotunheim is home to the frost giants, and in Svartalfheim's dark caverns one finds dwarves, demons and dark-elves. Muspellheim is the realm of fire and sulfur, and Niflheim is the world of rime and mist. The undead goddess Hel rules supreme in Helheim, the land of the dead.

In the great void of Ginnungagap the vast branches of the world tree, Yggdrasil, bridge the nine worlds.
